Quartz vs Granite Worktops: What Works Best in Thailand?
Quartz and granite are the two most popular worktops in Thai kitchens. Compare durability, maintenance, heat resistance and looks.

Quartz
Engineered quartz is non-porous, so it resists stains from curry, oil, coffee and wine without sealing. It comes in consistent colours and suits busy indoor kitchens.

Granite
Granite is natural stone with unique patterns. It handles heat and sunlight well, which makes it a good choice near large windows and for outdoor kitchens. It needs periodic sealing.

Marble and sintered stone
Marble looks luxurious but etches with acids, so it suits low-use areas. Sintered stone is extremely durable and UV-stable, ideal for terraces and sunny kitchens.
How to choose
Indoor family kitchens usually favour quartz; outdoor and sun-exposed kitchens favour granite or sintered stone. See large samples before deciding.
Match the stone to the space
Quartz wins indoors for easy care; granite and sintered stone win in sun and heat.
