Hosting in a Condo: Small-Space Entertaining
A Bangkok condo kitchen can host properly. It just needs different decisions from a villa kitchen.

Borrow the living space
In a condo the kitchen cannot hold guests, so the design should push the social edge outward. A peninsula or breakfast bar facing the living area turns the boundary into the entertaining surface.
Prepare ahead, cook less
Condo hosting works best when most of the food is prepared in advance. That shifts the priority from hob capacity to refrigeration, chilled storage and a decent landing surface for serving dishes.

Hide the working kitchen
Guests should not be looking at the washing-up. A tall unit bank, a raised bar edge or a pocket door that closes off the working run keeps the mess out of view without closing the room.
Extraction matters more, not less
In a small volume, cooking smells saturate everything quickly. If you entertain regularly in a condo, strong extraction and prepping ahead are what keep the evening comfortable.

Raise the bar edge
A raised edge on a peninsula hides the working worktop from seated guests. It is the cheapest fix there is.
“In a condo you are not hosting in the kitchen. You are hosting against it.”
